Privacy notice
This notice covers the internship application on this website. It is written in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
- Your first name and last name
- Your WhatsApp number
- Your email address
- Your district and city
- The track you are applying for, and your background category
- Whether you agreed to be contacted, and when you agreed
If you continue to the second stage, we will also ask for details such as your date of birth, address, the school you attended, the job field you are aiming for, and documents. We will ask for those separately, and only if you choose to continue.
Your sign-in password is a temporary one we send you on WhatsApp, which you then replace with your own. We store only a one-way hash of passwords — never the password itself — and we never ask anyone else for it.
Why we collect it
- To consider your application.
- To contact you about it — including on WhatsApp, if you agreed to that.
- To understand broadly who is applying, so we can improve the programme.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to advertise to you.
Your consent
We ask for your agreement before we contact you, and we tell you what we are asking for. You can withdraw it at any time — just tell us, and we stop contacting you. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything you have already been told about the programme.
Who can see it
- Exon staff who handle admissions, and people supervising your application.
- Nobody else, unless we are legally required to share it.
How long we keep it
- If your application does not go further: only as long as we need to consider it and make contact. After that we remove it.
- If you join us: your record is kept within the organisation for a maximum of four years — for example where you go on to a graduate programme.
How to ask for deletion or a copy
WhatsApp 0777952396 or email [email protected] and ask. We will delete your application records or give you a copy of what we hold, at no cost. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act.
Where it is stored
Your application is stored in our database. Access is limited to the staff above, and passwords are never stored in readable form.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date below.
